Introduction to the
To say that the Holland Lop is America’s favorite breed is probably an understatement. It might be more fitting to call it the world’s favorite breed.
A man from the Netherlands named Adrian DeCock founded this breed. He crossed a Netherland Dwarf buck to a French Lop doe, and developed the breed from there. The Holland Lop first appeared in America in 1976 and attracted immediate admiration. It was quickly recognized by the ARBA in 1979 and has been one of the most popular breeds for show and pets ever since.
As with all rabbits, they have individual personalities and it's difficult to generalize when talking about 'personality'. However, the majority of Holland Lops are known for their curiosity & excellent temperament, being more docile and gentle in comparison to some other popular breeds.
They are very intelligent and easy to litter-box train. Hollands make wonderful pets and are a perfect breed for children, being easy to handle and craving of affection.
Holland Lops are known to be a very sweet and their curiosity is quite comical making them very enjoyable pets to have around.
The Holland Lop is the smallest of the lop-eared breeds
When it is full grown it will range between 2-4 lbs. The Holland Lop is smaller in size than the Mini Lop due to it holding true dwarf genes and not the other way around.
All of my bunnies are very important to me and receive the best care for they are my pets first and foremost. I am breeding purebred pedigreed Holland Lops ; there are no crosses or mixing in my lines. My goal is to provide healthy, friendly bunnies with great temperaments to caring homes while sticking to the ARBA and HLRSC standards . I am hoping that you will love and enjoy them for many years to come!
Our baby bunnies are well socialized, friendly , and are handled daily. I am determined to keep the rabbitry small so the bunnies get the hands on attention and love that they all deserve. Becuase of this ,we only have a few litters a year. I will keep my site updated with the most current information on our next available litter.
